Introduction
This is the main document in which we will describe how to install, configure and maintain all the software that together form an application server. When we started with this project we went out on the Web in search for wisdom. We found many documents on the Web, spend fortunes on books but nowhere did we find the comprehensive documentation that accurately described what we so desperately needed. We decided to write that comprehensive documentation ourselves. This documentation is the result of many (not so mythical) man-months work during which we searched, installed, configured, deployed, tested, again and again. As with so many websites: it works HERE. YMMV. We know. Life is not fair.
Structure of the document
This document will be program and task oriented and it's structure will reflect that. If you want to perform a specific task on a program (e.g. you want to install Apache), than you will have to go to the Apache section and look for installation. At this moment we do not have a search possibility.
We use a uniform format for describing an application. For more information on how an application is described see here.
